The Management/Owners of Pangea Patty Lee, B.A., Certified General Accountant 1992 - President and General Manager Starting in 1988 as a Controller within Pangea Logistics's tug and barge operation, Patty was promoted to Manager of Finance for Pangea Logistics's Agency Division. She was then promoted to General Manager in 1997, then President in June, 1999. Previous employment highlight included VP and CFO of a major Vancouver based retail organization where she successfully implemented the turnaround of a CDN$1.0 million loss to a CDN$1.3 million profit within a three-year period. Patty has obtained a prominent position within the Vancouver shipping community and has participated as a member of the Chamber of Shipping's Liner Committee in past years. In her capacity at Pangea Logistics Inc., Patty is responsible for the overall performance of the organization and representing Pangea Logistics as the liaison to corporate partners, top level suppliers and customers. Michael Prout, B. Comm Queens University - VP and Transportation Services Manager Starting in 1990 as a customer service representative, Michael was promoted to Asst. Traffic Manager. In 1999, Michael assumed the position of Vice President and Transportation Services Manager. Michael has over the years developed an expertise for cargo handling and care, including the technical analysis needed to identify the cause and develop the preventive measures needed to eliminate the potential of damage. This has proven to be invaluable in the transportation of damage sensitive cargo such as rolled paper products in all modes. In Michael’s current role he is responsible for the management of cargo claims, overseeing pulp and paper shipments, and contract negotiations. With his technical and analytical expertise, his contributions to special projects are immeasurable. Jane Bruner, Certified General Accountant 1998 - Vice-President and Traffic Manager Jane joined Pangea Logistics in 1991 as the Senior Accountant. In 1994 she was promoted to Agency Manager and in 1996 to Traffic Manager. In 1999 Jane was promoted to Vice-President. As the Agency Manager Jane managed the B.C. vessel operations of Naviera Pacifico. In addition she was responsible for overall voyage and cargo costings, quoting ocean freight rates and negotiating charter parties. In her current role as Traffic Manager for the cargo brokerage arm of Pangea Logistics she is responsible for monthly KPI reporting, attaining and reporting Ocean Freight Synergies, rate negotiations for paper and lumber shipments. She is also responsible for the day to day performance of the staff, ensuring excellent customer service levels are maintained. Jane is active in the shipping community, maintaining close contact with carriers, shippers, cargo brokers, vessel brokers and marine agents. BACK TO TOP |
